Well the pandemic has certainly hit most of us in several ways. It has restricted our movements to the point where we have lost contact with many of our mates and friends, but was it really necessary? Yes, I did get Covid-19 and suffered for about 3 weeks with its side effects, but I was lucky; I was triple vaccinated. I think that has been the longest time without my boots on. 

Meetings of like minded skinheads have been curtailed but we are now back in force and football is also back for us to relieve some of the pressure and let off a little steam. I am hoping to get to Qatar for the World Cup with my partner Peter; but the assurances of the Qatar Government that homosexuals will not be arrested and are safe still worries me slightly. Can we trust a Muslim Arab Government to ignore homosexuality during the games and for how long afterwards for those wanting to do the tourist thing? I'm sure they will vet every application for a visa during the period of the games. I am a SHARP but that does not stop me pondering how a Muslim Government are going to ignore homosexuality within their country? I would welcome your comments.

My condolences Munich

May I offer my condolences to all residents of Munich and Germany for what has happened recently. Terrorism whether it be religious fanaticism or home grown terrorism through disgruntled and deranged people; cannot be condoned in any way, shape or form. There is no excuse for this type of action; mental sickness or not. We all have to be vigilant to those around us; family, friends and work mates as to their mental state and seek help for them. Religious ideology is no longer regarded as just religious fanaticism; it is MURDER and nothing less. Governments try their best to head off these attacks but they cannot be everywhere and mentally deranged people such as this latest mass murderer cannot be stopped.

My deepest sympathy to the families and friends of those killed and injured in Munich.

Darf ich mein Beileid an alle Einwohner von München und Deutschland bieten für das, was in letzter Zeit passiert ist. Terrorismus , ob es religiösen Fanatismus oder home grown Terrorismus durch unzufriedene und verwirrte Menschen sein ; kann nicht in irgendeiner Weise , Gestalt oder Form verziehen werden. Es gibt keine Entschuldigung für diese Art der Aktion ; Geisteskrankheit oder nicht. Wir alle müssen wachsam sein , um die um uns herum ; Familie, Freunde und Arbeitskollegen auf ihre mentalen Zustand und sucht Hilfe für sie. Religiöse Ideologie wird nicht mehr als nur religiöse Fanatismus ; es ist Mord und nicht weniger. Die Regierungen versuchen ihr Bestes, diese Angriffe auf den Kopf ab , aber sie können nicht überall und geistig verwirrte Menschen wie dieser jüngsten Massenmörder sein kann nicht gestoppt werden .

SHARP is true skinhead

I receive several emails every week through the blog, but unfortunately I cannot return the email as it comes through the blog and not direct. To indieskin, I would very much like to answer your blog so as we can become email friends one skin to another. If you do not normally speak English then that is not a problem as there are many translators on line.

As a SHARP I am against racial prejudiced as skinheads do not judge another skinhead by the  the colour of his skin. Skinheads grew out of the West Indian culture and working men from the East End of London and working class areas. They adopted the work clothing of the West Indian dock workers and so we get the bleachers, the 14 and 20 hole boots; braces and turned up cuffs. The dock workers used these to keep grains and other loose materials out of their boots; hence the longer boot. They also adopted their music and their movements on the dance floor, feeling the beat and moving their bodies to it; hence the stomp. So West Indians were our brothers in work and culture so why would skinheads be against people with colored skin? They started the movement.

As for WP or Nazi skinheads? They are not true skinheads; just men and youths with shaved heads and a need to remove non white people from their country. They are dangerous and psychotic and should be avoided at all costs.

There is a new skinhead book available at Amazon and Kindle. It is called 'Retribution' by Phillip Lesbirel and about a young skinhead who has done time in Juvvie and Prison. Wilbur John Collins is questioned over a fight in the town center by Sgt. Grainger but not charged due to insufficient evidence. Collins is heading for a life in prison but Grainger manages to rescue him through teaching him to box. Wilbur or 'Shiv' to his mates, starts to date a girl and later finds out she is Grainger's daughter.

They finally wed, much to Grainger's dislike, but when Carol fell pregnant, Shiv wanted a better life for his family. He managed to get a job near Macklesfield as a farm hand and life changed for them all. He became a real family man when his son was born and their life settled into the everyday life; until one fateful day. Carol was heading to the town with their son in the car when they were hit by a van driven by a guy who was drunk. It was a hit and run, and Carol died in the accident and their son severely injured causing him injuries to his brain. Shiv swore vengeance on the driver and the passenger he had that fateful day, and when he finally did find them, his retribution was swift and deliberate.Never cross a skinhead.

This book is well worth reading for all you fans of skinhead books. It is believable and could have been almost an autobiography in the way it is written; but of course it is fiction.

Well as you are all aware, I follow the writer Phillip Lesbirel who has written several good skinhead books and his latest release is 'Retribution' about a skinhead who marries and has a son, who moves from the city to the country to let his son grow up without the poverty and pain he had endured himself; but he loses his wife in a car accident and his son is seriously injured. The story dwells on his need to see the drunken driver of the other car dealt with by the courts but when the driver is given a slap on the wrist, he takes matters into his own hands. An interesting story and surprise ending. I recommend this book to you. Available through Amazon, Kindle and most book sellers or in electronic downloads.

Life's Journey complete book published

The author, Phillip Lesbirel, has written many gay and straight skinhead books and is fast becoming well known for his skinhead writings of its culture and scene. Life's Journey is about a 16 year old inexperienced and naive apprenticed motor mechanic who discovers the skinhead brotherhood in the late 60's early 70's, devours its culture and lifestyle as if born to it, but his internal anger and quick temper lead him to a prison term. On release from prison, he seeks a life away from his past and with a false passport and by buying a working trip to Australia heads away from the UK. Although he has bought the silence of the freighter's Captain, the Captain notifies the authorities as he enters the Port of Melbourne, and Johnnie has to jump into the frigid waters of Port Phillip Bay with his South African lover Joe.

They barely survive but Johnnie is determined to never be caught and return to prison and commits 2 murders to ensure this. He meets and falls in love with Skull, a parole violator himself and an ex con having served 6 years. Book 5 deals with their growing love, their work on the prawn trawlers in the Gulf of Carpentaria and how through an industrial accident, Skull is killed and how Johnnie's grief is handled.

Heart warming, vicious, violent; The series follows Johnnies short life from a naive youth to a vicious killer. Throughout the series you love and hate him, but mostly you love him, like him and root for his success. Johnnie is a skinhead, angry, with attitude, gay and willing to excel in all the fetishes even the fringe fetishes, as he believes he should experience all that life has to offer. I believe you would enjoy this series and will not regret buying it or maybe wait a few weeks and borrow the full series book from the Kindle Library.

New gay skinhead books

There are few gay skinhead books on the market but Amazon have a few. One writer, Phillip Lesbirel, has several in print and one released today is book 4 of a 5 book series. The book is called 'Life's Journey book 4 - Survival and is a follow up to books 1, 2 and 3 published earlier. It deals with a young 16 year old apprentice moror mechanic, Johnnie, who discovers the skinhead culture and goes on to prostitute himself, gets jailed for 18 months, escapes parole and heads to Australia, survives a fridgid swim to safety and now is on the run from Australian police. Now 22 he has teamed up with Skull his lover, and Joe a prevoius lover and Joe's lover Brains an ex Melbourne wharfie.

Johnnie has gone from inocence to prostitution, to GBH to murder and there is still book 5 to come. He is not scared of a fight and always fights dirty like all skinheads should. Johnnie is all skinhead, gay and proud. He works the prawn trawlers up in the Gulf to try and stay away from city police and with his traveling companions, have bought a small trawler of their own for the off season and called it 'Skin Fisher'.

Phillip Lesbirel has also written other skinhead books, 'Matter of Honour', 'Fighting Dog' and Daniel. 'Life's Journey' will be combined into one book when book 5 is completed and published. Look for this book in about 3 months.
